numerous fundraisers such as “Hat Day” and “Donut Day” that is helping to raise “real” money for our company and upcoming competitions.

Swag surf shop is excited and eager to finally be opening their doors. The Swag Surf Shop will welcome the public inside the workings of the Swag Shop and introduce just what it means to be “Swag”. The countdown has begun… In   just two short weeks, Swag Surf Shop will be hosting the big Grand Opening. This event is so huge there is a need to host two Grand Opening events - twice in the same day.

The Grand Opening will be held on Thursday, March 18th. The first Grand Opening of the Swag Surf Shop will take place at Hilton Head Island High School during both 1st and 2nd block (8:00-9:15am). All teachers and CATE students will be invited to participate and witness this historic event. The second Grand Opening will take place during Hilton Head Island High School’s spring Open House from 4:30-5:30. Parents, donors, and friends will be able to attend the second opening, which will include a ribbon cutting ceremony, The Grand Opening is a chance for Swag Surf Shop to showcase our brand new website, feature new products from our catalog, and make potential contacts and sales.

The Swag Surf Shop employee’s have been working very diligently to meet the deadlines for the big March 18th Grand Opening. The Technology Department has been working extremely long hours to get the Swag Surf Shop website up and running. The Sales and Marketing Department continues to create billboards,

window displays, catalogs, brochures, invitations and flyers to make the Grand Opening a success. Building a relationship with other SCVEN companies is high priority for Sales and Marketing. A database of purchases by our team members has been created  to make connections with other companies and continue a reciprocal relationship. Working hand-and-hand with the Finance Department, the Swag inventory is ready to sell. Finance is constantly keeping track of expenses and revenue and is diligently working on completing monthly balance sheets and income statements. These financial statements are vital for the Grand Opening because without correct financial numbers we cannot determine what the Swag net income will be.

The Human Resources Department is a branch of the Operations Department. Both are working very hard for our upcoming Grand Opening. The HR Department is working on producing award-winning newsletters as well as assisting Sales and Marketing in the design of a company t-shirt. The company shirt will be featured at our Grand Opening on March 18th. The Operations Department is organizing
